What is V-Petsite.com?

V-Petsite.com is an advanced Virtual Petite Building Toolkit which gives anyone the opportunity to build and run their own Pet based game!

Do we have to program it?

No, all the hard stuff is done for you! Having some basic knowledge of HTML will give you an advantage in editing Templates, but it is not necessary.

I don't have any Pet or Item arts!

Not to worry, we give you 20 items and 5 pets to get your game started. We've also setup a working game for you so you and your friends can play straight away. From here you can simply add on to your game or change things using the many choices of tools and settings.

Possible Game Types

If you want to create a specific type of virtual pet game, our system is setup to tailor several kinds of game types from the typical Adopt and Take Care sims to more complex open world games.

Adopt and Care Games.

The most common kind of virtual pet game is of course to adopt and take care of your pets, this is possible with V-Petsite. Such features include a hunger system, so be sure to feed your pets. A mood system is also available in which you must give your pet toys to keep their mood up.

Specific Breed Sims

If you want to create a sim game for a specific animal, this is also possible with our system. We have had Dog and Horse sims in the past.

Role play and Open Worlds

After listening to all our members over the years, version 3 of V-Petsite now offers more features for the RPG fans out there. Such new releases is the RPG explore system designed to cater for large world exploration and wild creature encounters!

Custom Game Types

With all the possible feature available, each one can be enabled and disabled giving you the power to mix your features to create a unique game play style.

Ease of Use

We'll be straight forward and honest, due to the huge array of features and options new members often find the system a little overwhelming at first. V3 will include a Guide to help you through.

HTML

V-Petsite allows the use of HTML to customize the feature templates so you can make your game stand out and become unique amongst the other games. Whilst HTML is very simple and easy to learn we are aware not everyone wants to learn, and shame on you!

The Toolbox

With the release of v3 we are now including a toolbox, these tools are designed to remedy the problems of not understanding certain functions, for example HTML. The Toolbox also includes a Map Maker with a drag and drop interface with a good selection of pre drawn images to populate your maps. This is a good tool to use if you are not confident with your own drawing ability.

We feel the only possible ease of use limitation you may encounter is the HTML, however we must encourage your to at least look up some Html tutorials around the web, it's stupidly easy! If you have never seen Html before, it's made of a simple opening and closing tags. For example, if you want to make text underlined you would simply use

<u> This text is underlined! </u> So go on, learn something new and make your game even better! After all, we are an educational website!

Unique Games

It's true a lot of people think that game makers only create games that are all the same, however, we push that statement to being false! No two games made with V-Petsite have to be the same. We offer lots of features, all with many options and an editable HTML Template, no two features need to be the same if you put some work into it.

Custom Pages

You are not limited to using just a preset array of pages, you can easily just go ahead and build custom pages. If you want a new page which indexes and tells you about your pets, similar to an encyclopedia, go ahead, make it. If you want a new page which offers members some hints in your game, do it! Build what you wish, the game is your masterpiece after all, make it how you want it!

Feature Maker

With the release of v3 comes our latest and greatest creation, the feature maker! This building block style feature maker gives you the power to make your own features that other games don't have.

So you want your game to have a fishing feature? Go for it, that can be done! Maybe certain pages can trigger random traps and hurt your pet? Sure, why not? There is a lot of possibilities this new tool can do to make your game truly unique!

Community

Since i created the first version of V-Petsite way back in 07 our community has truly grown into a very active, and very talkative group of virtual pet lovers. A lot of members are still here from v1 itself.

Make sure you visit our community forums if you decide to join us, you'll find our members to be an active bunch each with different skills. Don't be afraid to ask for advice on any topic you may be stuck on whether it be art related, to do with Html or just a general question, you'll always get a helpful answer. You may however, have problems getting some of them to zip it! Haha.
